Ludki
Also known as: ludki, lutki, ludky
The little people of Lusatian legend, dwarfs whom Afanasyev counts among the souls of the dead and compares with the Roman manes.
The Lusatian ludki ("little people") are dwarfs. Afanasyev counts them among the souls of the dead pictured as elfin beings: the Ukrainian mavka is "a little one, a dwarf, a being like the Lusatian ludki", and in his Additions he sets the Roman manes beside them.
