A Zi
A vixen who takes the form of a pretty woman and lures a soldier into an empty tomb; foxes are said to call themselves by her name.
In the story of Chen Xian, a vixen calling herself A Zi lures the soldier Ling Xiao away into an empty tomb, where he is found looking "rather like a fox". A Daoist explains that in ancient times A Zi was a lascivious woman who turned into a fox, and that this is why so many foxes call themselves by her name.
