A fox over eight chi tall that bewitches a beauty in the house of Zhangsun Wuji and defeats the household gods.
Wang the Eighth bewitches a beauty given by Emperor Taizong to the minister Zhangsun Wuji. The household gods of the well, stove, gate and privy fight it and are wounded; it takes the gods of the Five Sacred Peaks, summoned by Adjutant Cui's talisman, to bring it down. Cui punishes it with five strokes of a peach branch, explaining that a Heavenly Fox cannot be killed.
